MTN FA Cup: Kotoko, Liberty Professionals And Six Others Through To Quarters

Asante Kotoko won their second straight penalty shoot outs to qualify to the quarter final stage of the MTN FA Cup competition.

Last season’s finalists had to fight back from a goal down to equalize against second division side Storm Academy to push their round of 16 game into penalty shoo outs.

Twumasi Frimpong put the third tier side into the lead before Bennett Ofori got the equalizer for Asante Kotoko.
The game went into penalty shoots and Kotoko sailed through into the next stage after winning the shoot outs 5-3.
In another games played on Sunday, Wa All Stars hammered Mighty Royals 6-0 to qualify to the next stage of the FA Cup competition while WAFA won 1-0 against Emmanuel FC on Friday.
