Ghana attacking midfielder Christian Atsu has bemoaned the absence of Asamoah Gyan ahead of Black Stars 2017 AFCON Qualifier against Mauritius on Sunday.
Gyan was ruled out of the upcoming AFCON qualifiers after picking up an injury while playing for his club Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League last month.
“We will miss Asamoah Gyan very well. He is our top scorer but because of injury he can’t play but we have to play without him, we will make sure we win the game on Sunday,” Atsu told Hot FM.
“In football everything is possible but we have prepared well for the game. We know it will be a difficult game because we are playing away.”
Ghana sit top of Group H with ten points followed by Rwanda, Mauritius with six points each.
The West African giants are expected to leave Ghana for Mauritius for the weekend’s game.
