DOL Match-Day 15 Review: Utrecht Stuns Bofoakwa, Wise and Vision In Slim Victory

The first round of the ongoing GN Bank Division One league (DOL) ended over the weekend at the various centers with interesting results in the three Zones.

In Zone One, Tamale Utrecht were able to stun fellow Zonal campaigners, Bofoakwa Tano in a thrilling encounter at the Tamale Academy Park.

Mighty Royals defeated Real Tamale United 2-1 at their favorite Wamanafo Community Park to stay on top with five-point lead.

At the Wa Park, second-placed Berekum Arsenal drew 2-2 with Wa Rockets. Unflinching debutantes, FC Tanga moved to third place on the log with a 2-1 home win over Brong Ahafo-based Berlin FC.

In Zone Two, Elmina Skarks rolled out of the first half of the league without tasting defeat as they pip Venomous Vipers 1-0 in their ‘Fante’ derby encounter.

Still in Zone Two, Achiken hosted and defeated second-placed Gold Stars 3-1, whilst Eleven Wise beat Starke by 1-0 in a fierce clash.

In Zone Three, Vision played up to quickly get back to winning ways by injecting Nania by 1-0 at the Tema Park to lurk back with just a point behind Great Olympics.

Accra Great Olympics go top of the log after beating Nungua Danbort at the Prisons Park in Cantonment.
