Dreams FC have granted their coach C.K Akonnor permission to take over the coaching job of Ashanti Gold.
The Miners coaching job became vacant after Nashir Hayford resigned from his post last month, and they have been in the market in search of a new coach.
Now they have settled on the former Black Stars captain and the Kweiman based club has confirmed his departure to the Obuasi based side.
A portion of Dreams FC press release regarding Akunnor’s move reads:
“Dreams FC wishes to inform its fans and the general public of the board’s decision to grant a request from Ashanti Gold for the services of manager C.K Akonnor.
“The board took this decision on Monday following discussions with officials of the Premier League side who are making a request for technical assistance.
“Charles Akonnr, a former Ghana captain will now proceed to conclude talks towards taking over the vacant coaching job with the Miners – where he made his name on the local scene as an emerging star. This move will be to the end of the current season.”
