Accra Hearts of Oak beat Kumasi Asante Kotoko 6-5 on penalties to book a place in the finals of the 2016 GHALCA SIX tournament at the Babayara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Vincent Atingah opened the scoring from the spot kick after Patrick Razak was bundled over the ball by goalkeeper Felix Annan in the 54th minute.
But Amos Frimpong restored parity 12 minutes later after Referee Prosper Addo awarded a controversial penalty to the home side.
However, the visitors were not perturbed as they kept their composure to win a nervy shoot-out.
Substitute Daniel Kodie missed the opportunity to put Hearts 4-2 up after Atingah (again), Mustapha Essuman, and Anthony Nimo Asamoah put the Phobians 3-2 in the lead. Eric Donkor had missed earlier for the Porcupines.
Maxwell Boakye, Richard Akrofi and Joshua Otoo hit target for Hearts but Prince Acquah missed in sudden death to aid the visitors to a first win over the Porcupines in 2016 – and set a date with Aduana Stars in the finals of the 2016 G6 tournament.
