Hearts of Oak maintained their lead at the top of the league table after beating Sekondi Hasaacas 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on match day 12 on Wednesday.
The Phobians who were serving their two home game behind closed doors following a punishment handed to them by the FA’s Appeals Committee had their fans converged at the main entrance of the stadium to offer their unflinching to the club.
The Accra giants despite playing behind closed doors dominated play from the blast of the whistle and they scored the first goal on the 8 minutes through Isaac Mensah.
Hasaacas had a chance to pull even but they fluffed those opportunities, with 10 minutes to end the game, Augustine Arhinful scored from a free-kick but the goal was disallowed.
Chances were far and few as the game was brought to an end.
Kotoko defied all odd to end the unbeaten run of Bechem United in the ongoing camping thanks to Frank Sarfo Gymafi’s second half strike.
Bechem United dictated the pace in the first half but their forward Abenego Tetteh wasted the chances his team created.
The home side paid for their profligacy as Sarfo Gyamfi’s 75 minute strike won the day for the Porcupine Warriors.
