Wa Allstars beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Wa Park on Wednesday on match day 14 of the 2016 Ghana Premier League.
The result means that the Wa based club have ended the Porcupine Warriors five games winning streak in the ongoing campaign.
The host dominated the away side in the first half of the game which they scored the first goal on the 18 minute through their leading marksman Richard Arthur.
Kotoko in the second half improved their performance – they created decent chances but they wasted those chances, the home side also had created some chances but they also fluffed those opportunities.
Both sides failed to get on the score sheet as the referee in the middle Otis Oppong whistled for the end of the game after four minutes of time added on.
Elsewhere at the Tema Park, Inter Allies returned to winning ways by thrashing Berekum Chelsea 3-1.
The Tema based side prior to the duel have gone five games without a win and they needed to beat the former Premier League champions in order to boost their confidence ahead of the upcoming games.
Before the break the Elven is To One struck three goals courtesy Frederick Boateng brace and Edward Adjaklo fine finish.
Berekum Chelsea later in the second half reduced the deficit after their inspirational captain Saddick Adams scored from the spot.
