GPL Week 28: Aduana Thrash Techiman City, Hearts of Oak Pip Dwarfs

Aduana Stars thrashed Techiman City 4-0 at the Dormaa Park to go top of the league table with a better goal difference against Wa All Stars who lost 1-0 at Liberty.

The Dormaa giants started off very well as they dominated the away side, and their hard work paid off as their leading marksman Yaya Mohammed struck the first goal in the game.

Before the break, Aduana Stars could have doubled their lead but Yaya Mohammed missed from the spot.

The home side intensified their performance in the second half and Daniel Darkwa with a sublime finish made it two for the “Ogya Lads”, shortly Bright Adjei scored Aduana Stars’ third goal before Derek Sassraku put the icing on the cake with the home side’s fourth goal.

Aduana Stars are now tied on 48 points with Wa All Stars, but they currently league the log sheet with a better goal difference.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, Hearts of Oak ended their seven games winless streak by beating Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0.

The first half of the game ended goalless, but the Accra giants improved their performance in the second half and Foovi Aguidi scored the only goal in the game with a brilliant free-kick in the 62nd minute.

Elsewhere at the T&A Park in Tarkwa, Medeama held Asante Kotoko a pulsating 1-1 drawn game.

It was the Porcupine Warriors who scored the first goal in the first half through Eric Donkor.

But in the second half thy failed to protect their lead as Bismark Oppong pulled even for the home side.
