Black Stars deputy coach Maxwell Konadu has backed Kotoko management in their decision to appoint technical director for stop-gap coach Michael Osei.
The Kumasi based club are contemplating to appoint a technical director to support Michael Osei due to the club’s poor display in the second half of the season as they have won one, lost two and drawn four in seven games.
The current trend of results has triggered the club’s management decision to appoint a technical director to support Osei.
Maxwell Konadu who coached the Kumasi giants to win the 2011/2012 Ghana Premier League is supporting the club’s management decision.
“I think is a good idea. That will help the team and help Michael Osei himself,” he told Starr FM
“Looking at the performance of the team in the second round, things haven’t gone too well so I think appointing a technical director will help.
“I also think Michael Osei shouldn’t take the blame alone but at this moment if things are happening this way then your name will be mentioned because he is the one leading the team.
“But I think appointing a technical director will really help him and the Club as well.”
Kotoko on Sunday will host Dreams FC on match day 23 of the Ghana Premier League and are 5th with 33 points.
