Ghanaian shot stopper Nana Bonsu who plies his trade in the Nigerian Premier League for Enugu Rangers FC has welcomed his compatriot Fatau Dauda to the country’s top-flight.
Dauda joined Eyimba FC on a two-year deal following his contract expiration with Ghana Premier League side Ashanti Gold.
And Bonsu, who helped Rangers to win the Nigerian top-flight league last season has expressed his delight to seeing the one-time Black Stars’ number one shot stopper in the Nigerian Premier League.
“I’m happy for Dauda. It’s a good thing that he will also play in the NPFL next season,” Bonsu who once represented Ghana at the U-17 level stated in a chat with Complete Sports Nigeria.
“It will be nice to come up against him when the season starts. I also hope to see more Ghanaian players come down here to play in the NPFL.”
“The league in Nigeria is competitive and we also have a lot of quality players from other countries which makes it more exciting.”
Dauda is expected to battle Theophilus Afelokhai for the number one spot at the club.
