Kotoko midfielder, Ollenu Ashitey will not be part of Sunday’s Premier League home fixture against debutants Elmina Sharks after suffering a muscle tear in his right thigh. Ollenu who joined Kotoko at the beginning of the season, has fared well in all the matches he’s been fielded.
He complained of pains in his right thigh during training yesterday. A scan by the Medical Team on Thursday revealed a tear. According to the medics it will take a week to heal. “Ollenu has been ruled out of Sunday’s game” Head of Communications, Obed Acheampong said.
“He complained about it yesterday. He had a scan today and it was found that he needed to allow the muscle to rest for a week”. Coach Zdravko Logarusic is expected have a capable replacement.
