Former Hearts of Oak winger Ollenu Ashittey says he is optimistic of excelling at Asante Kotoko.
Ashittey who is a free agent after his contract at Hearts of Oak expired at the end of the 2015/16 Premier League season has started training with the Kumasi giants but his deal is yet to be finalized.
The 22 year-old speedster last Friday played his first trail game for Asante Kotoko and he scored brace, as the former Premier League champions defeated lower-tier side Quam FC 2-0.
Players have not had it easy when they cross carpet from Hearts of Oak to Kotoko and vice versa but Ashittey is sure of proving his worth at Kotoko.
“I know the challenges that players of Hearts and Kotoko encounter when one crosses carpet to the other but I know with God’s intervention and hardworking, I will excel at Kotoko no matter what happens,” Ashittey told Cape Coast-based ATL FM.
