Managing Director of Accra Heart of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei has sworn to stay on as head of the club, despite winning the La Dadekotokpon parliamentary seat.
Odotei who won the La Dadekotokpon seat on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), says he will still maintain his job as the ‘MD’ of the club despite his victory.
“Yes I will still be in football administration, I am not going to stop. I don’t think my work at Hearts is going to conflict with my Political duties,” he said.
“That fact that I will now be in Parliament doesn’t mean I will stop my work as MD for Hearts”, he added.
Sowah Odotei came under lot of flak last season after he was blamed by fans for the club’s inability to win the league, blaming the departure of Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi as the reason for the misfortune.
Many fans have called for his replacement, but Odotei has vowed to stay on and put the club on the glorious pedestal it deserves.
